Heat began with
the New Age Outlaws taking on D'lo Brown and Mark Henry. Droz and
Prince Albert ended the match by attacking D'lo and Mark. The NAO
stayed in the ring and Billy Gunn called out X Pac and apoligized to him.
However, he attacked him after Road Dogg left the ring.
Michael Cole
presented a timeline of events between Vince, Shane, and the ministry.
The ministry
began an all night assualt by ambushing Test and Shamrock during their
match with the Acolytes. They then proceeded to the boiler room and
beat up on Mankind before Paul Wight came to his aid.
Paul Wight came
out to the ring to call out the Undertaker but the whole ministry responded,
and attacked him in the ring.
Bob Holly and
Al Snow went to a no decision in a non title match after quabbling over
Head and the Hardcore title. Holly (who had Head) wanted a title
shot, but Al Snow said he could not give him one, because Head is the actual
champion
Paul Wight was
arrested for breaking the windows of Shane's limo. After having the
Big Show arrested, Shane came to the ring to conclude Heat by announcing
two Over The Edge matches: Austin vs. Undertaker for the title, and Rock
vs. HHH.

Heat opened
with a tribute to Ravishing Rick Rude. Then got underway with it's
first match: D'Lo Brown and Ivory vs. Val Venis and Sable. However,
Sable was not there, so Val had to go it alone. Late in the match,
Nicole Bass entered as an apparent substitute for Sable. Bass chokeslammed
Ivory and Pinned her for the win.
The ministry
was then shown arriving at the arena. J.R. then conducted an interview
with X-Pac, which proceeded a Lawler interview of Triple H and Chyna.
-Droz and Prince Albert defeated Too Much
-Kane defeated the Big Boss Man because of accidental interference by Test
-Viscera defeated Test because of intentional interference by the Boss
Man
Heat concluded with Shane addressing
the crowd about Backlash, and his role in the Main Event.
